2013 has been the year of new young Royalty. A Queen and a King abdicated in favour of their son within 6 months time. When Maxima became Queen, she choose Jan Taminiau to make her dress. Royal Blue was the best choice she could ever make ; her becoming Queen did not go unnoticed. A couple of months later, King Albert of Belgium announced abdication in favour of his son Philippe. Again, his wife Mathilde opted for this beautiful colour - Royal blue - and picked a statuesque dress for her official portraits. Fashion journalist Miroslava Duma knows what suits her. She picked this wing sleeved outfit by Gucci in the same spectacular blue. Imagine this in any other colour and it wouldn't have had the same fabulous effect.

2013 was hét jaar voor vernieuwing binnen de Royals. Een koningin en een koning kondigden hun troonsafstand aan in het voordeel van hun zoon. Toen Maxima koningin werd koos zij ontwerper Jan Taminiau voor haar moment-suprême jurk. Koninklijk blauw was met lengtes voorsprong de beste kleur die ze had kunnen kiezen. Dit viel iedereen en vooral ook de modewereld op ; algemene goedkeuring voor haar kledingkeuze die 30ste april. Een paar maanden later, toen Koning Albert zijn abdicatie aankondigde, koos ook Maxima's collega Mathilde dezelfde statige kleur voor haar statieportret. Modejournaliste Miroslava Duma, fashionista in hart en nieren weet perfect wat haar staat : ze koos onlangs voor een gevleugeld ensemble van Gucci - opnieuw in die royaal blauwe tint. Stel je haar outfit voor in eender welke andere kleur ; het effect zou totaal anders zijn.
