The latest hype ; a statement sweater by Champion. As I already own so many grey sweaters and hoodies, I did not hesitate purchasing this particular jumper in black. I've always had a fondness of mixing night blues with black .. makes it somehow looks more 

chic and less boring.

My bomber looks a lot like the one my husband has from ACNE, minus the exuberant price tag. And Other Stories have a great selection in bombers ; nudes, black or navy .. all great basic hues are available at a reasonable price. The quality is really great and doesn't look tacky or cheap like some other high street brands using plain satin fabric.

find me and what I'm obsessing about on my IG account

I've always been a lousy sales shopper ; I know I'm drawn to my fave shops when they tag their windows with -50% or -60% signs, but somehow I'm always ending up with stuff from the new collection. 

Now, as I don't live in a country with extreme weather tides, Spring and Fall fashion can easily be mixed with Summer and Winter items. 

I mean, as long as I'm not surprised by a snow blizzard, I can pretty much use anything hanging in my closet. 

So that's why I'm not keeping this wonderful sparkly skirt from the F/W 2015-16 collection hidden in my closet until November ! 

Has to be worn right now and how I love it. 

So does everybody else. This showstopper apparently was 'the' item fashionista's would drool over as soon as it came in store. And so it did. Even though we are not half through Summer holidays, it's already sold out on the Bellerose website. 

Fashion works fast these days.

I was really looking forward to the HM S/S 2015 Conscience collection but wasn't able to check it out until yesterday (collection opened April 16th) ; especially the long dress in a linen/silk mix looked amazing when Olivia Wilde showed it in the teasers.

Have to admit, I even considered changing my final chosen nude dress for the upcoming wedding in June for this one, if it proved to be amazing and perfect for me. But when I saw it hanging in the shop it gave me a feeling of unease. The fabric is quite heavy and not as fluid as the skirt in that same collection. It looked more like my grandma's curtains, sorry if I say so. Social media gave some clues as all fashionista's were raving about the skirt but said nothing on the dress, not even a hint.
Also, if all sizes are still available, 3 days after launching the collection, I guess it's just not a good piece and must be considered a no-no on your wish list, right ?

However, I did buy the scarf. So Mr C and I strolled around town, paying a visit to our fave shop, Renaissance and did a bit of retail therapy.
We found a great Kenzo shirt with tiny Eiffel towers for him and a fabulous loose fitting mohair jumper by ACNE. Perfect for my dark blue culottes as the jumper is navy blue too.
Hearing the comments and compliments when I came out of the dressing room to check it in the mirror - I'm pretty sure this was a far more better fashion decision than a dress that looked fab online but cr*p IRL.

Teamed it with a chambray shirt and Stan Smith's for a family reunion last night - put on some Bal d'Afrique scent by Byredo and hoppa, I was, yet again, ready to roll !

It's been a while since I've done a style update ; so here we go .. sharing a couple of my daily faves with you guys.

As you might know by now, I'm a keen knitter but sometimes a bit lazy. Why knit it when it's available -70% ? You're on board with me, right ? 

I just love chunky boyfriend cardi's and I have a soft spot for stripes too. 

I found this knitted cardigan the other day, it was the last one hanging in store in size 2.

Slightly too big but hey, that's how oversized boyfriend jackets must be.

I teamed it with a silky navy blue blouse {thanks to Katrin, who suggested to wear something silk with any chunky sweater or jacket on Instagram ; makes you look less bulky} - my distressed boyfriend jean and my new whiter than white sneakers.

Hurray for non-muddy days.

It's been a while since I posted an outfit of myself ; today I made an effort to capture my daily stay-at-home look du jour. Skinny jean, studded boots, T and my handmade fluffy black jacket ..

The best thing about these handmade jackets ; they are so incredibly comfy and warm ! 

Can't believe I'm wearing a short sleeved t shirt underneath,  in December !  

 I worked in the garden all afternoon, cleaning up the last Fall leafs and mess ; put up some grease balls with nuts for our feathered friends and hung some festive lights in my Winter hard plants. 

Our outside fireplace is filled with wood ; let the holidays begin !

Last night, we went out to discover this eatery I wanted to check out for the longest time. Finally, we made it and managed to get a table at Meat & Eat in Antwerp. 

The place is small but cosy, super friendly atmosphere and the people serving, they are the sweetest !

On top of that, the food is really, REALLY good. 

If you live in or near Antwerp, this is a place I highly recommend !

The best thing about Winter is the layering and mixing all kinds of fabrics and structures.

My oversized coat is made from a grained fabric, wool and lurex, to add some bling and a variable colour effect depending on how you look at it. 

Teamed with some fake leather army green trousers and my Charles Jourdan crocodile leather heels.

I've brought these babies home from Paris - they are timeless with a firm yet elegant heel.

My sheer top has some lace panels on the body and sleeves ; another hint towards the festive days to come.

Tis the cosy season

Cosy means chunky soft jumpers ; drinking hot cocoa and enjoying all things warm.

I really love Fall and Winter ; I always seem to find a lot more nice clothes during this time of year. 

I started knitting again. Inspired by friends with babies and seeing so many beautiful wools at my local handcraft shop.
