Last night's oufit

Last night, we went out to discover this eatery I wanted to check out for the longest time. Finally, we made it and managed to get a table at Meat & Eat in Antwerp. 

The place is small but cosy, super friendly atmosphere and the people serving, they are the sweetest !

On top of that, the food is really, REALLY good. 

If you live in or near Antwerp, this is a place I highly recommend !

I'm not a big fan of Dries van Noten's current collection but this beautiful top caught my eye in the  window display of the Antwerp flagship store today. 

Gold is a fabulous color to match basics like white and black ; rumour has it it will be here to stay next season too. So, it might be a good investment to add some golden items to your wardrobe !

Imagine this ; you wanna impress somebody you really like, your fridge is almost empty, you don't have (enough) pasta for 2 but and just a giant zucchini to work with. I'm about to save your day.

Slice the zucchini with the help of a julienne peeler into look-a-like tagliatelle wisps and sauté them for a couple of minutes in olive oil. Season them too.

Drop some cherry tomatoes in the pan as well (or sun dried, chopped - might work just as good)

After you're done, twist the 'tagliatelle' in some green or red pesto ; serve on a nice plate and sprinkle some freshly grated parmegiano cheese on top !

Kids are so lucky. They don't need excuses to buy a new pair of shoes. Their feet are still in 

growth modus. My son is growing up so fast ! One size more and he shares the same shoe size as his 16 year old sister ! 

Boy,  pretty soon he will be taller than the rest of us !

Say yes to the .. ring !

I am SO excited ! Can't tell much yet but I will by the end of this week. Close friend of mine will get a proposal - and we are going to surprise her - she's going to have a fit ! 

Hopefully I can shower you in pictures pretty soon ; I will give them an engagement photoshoot as a gift .. can't wait to see her face. Yesterday Mr C and myself got a chance to have breakfast together, so we walked down to LPQ in our hood. Inside all their lighting fixtures were covered in heart shaped post its.

On my off school days, I like to work on my knitting and if possible, do this while I'm watching a movie. It has to be a movie that matches perfectly my knitting activity, so no Iron Man or full on action movies. I came across this beautiful motion picture Mr Morgan's last Love ..
Sir Michael Caine and Clémence Poésy, together in a Parisian setting .. need I say more girls ? 

I really loved this touching story, bases on a French novel La Douceur Assassine by Françoise Dorner. 
Of course, Clémence is a style icon for me and this made the film even more enjoyable watching.

Bag Lady

I've been saving up for this wonderful piece of leather ; so happy with my Proenza Schouler PS11 bag. I decided to go for the small size ; smaller shaped bags complement me better (I'm only 5'4")

Something to keep in mind next time you buy a new bag or tote and you are similar to my body shape.

I am thrilled about the color too ; glad I did not pick the ever safe black and went for this warmer tone.

The other day when I shopped at Step by Step, it immediately struck me how nice this shop smelled.

Very subtle - almost softly embracing you like a warm Summer wind - I just had to know what caused this. I could've guessed actually ; Diptique is a French based candle and interior perfume brand, known for it's lovely candle holders and designs on it.

It's not a bargon, a Diptique candle but it's worth the price. 

While other candles might smell chemical or synthetic, these smell like heaven on earth.

Specially with Valentine's day in mind, you might consider purchasing one for a romantic evening with the love of your life.
